Every time one of us completes the Coastal Kindness CPR and AED training, the more resilient we become as a community, the more able to cope in an emergency until help arrives. Now let’s step it up a pace! Let’s see how many of us can complete a Level One First Aid Course!
Does that sound like a challenge? It is!
We have such limited access to emergency medical care that we really need, as a community, as many people as possible who know what to do – and what not to do – until a paramedic or doctor arrives on the scene! We need to be able to help ourselves and one another.
So Coastal Kindness has arranged for Gardmed to present a First Aid course ideal for beginners: Level One. Anyone and everyone can do it! You, the helper who looks after your children while you are at work, someone who works in your office or your shop.
(In fact, this training is the minimum required if you, as an employer, wish to comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, 1993.)
The first course will be held on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March, with an examination on Saturday 25 March. Yes, there’s an examination! And a proper certificate too, issued by the Department of Labour.
We can accommodate ten people on the course, either yourself or an employee or even someone you wish to sponsor. The cost is just R500 per person. Email care@coastalkindness to register.
Let’s make our community a safer place by having as many people as possible able to assist in an emergency!
