As soon as we had the manual vaccination registration system for the elderly in place and working, we were able to extend the service to surrounding areas.
Working closely with the clinics in Ekuphumleni, Marselle and Klipfontein, the Coastal Kindness team have registered over 300 elderly people, to date, who were unable to register themselves online.
This has been no mean feat and has involved many helping hands:
- data capture volunteers
- registration form delivery and collection men
- a taxi driver to collect and return clinic staff to far-flung areas
- printers and
- translators
Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this valuable service possible. The more people vaccinated, the safer we will all be!
Our next challenge is to help set up the Kenton vaccination station. More on that shortly!
REMEMBER: COVID-19 has not gone away! Please take every precaution to remain safe. DO NOT become complacent.
