Coastal Kindness has pledged its support and assistance to the DOH in rolling out the COVID-19 vaccination programme in our area. We have been asked help with the site management of the vaccination stations in Kenton, Ekuphumleni and Marselle.
In the meantime, whilst we wait for supplies of vaccinations to get to the Eastern Cape, Coastal Kindness are sourcing and organising such things as, notice boards, signage, screens, laptops, WiFi connectivity, stationery, tables and chairs.
Although all the planning takes time it doesn’t adequately explain why we have not been vaccinated yet.
According to Stavrou Nicolaou, Aspen’s Head of Strategic Trade, the country has secured enough vaccines to cover 45 million people by the end of the first quarter of 2022. “This is very complex and, in terms of scale, the largest public initiative that our country has ever embarked on,”
Whilst the Eastern Cape continues to be left behind in terms of service delivery, however, the J&J issue is not of South African making.
