Grief counselling
After the loss of a loved one, persistent negative emotions can disrupt our daily lives. The aim of grief counselling is to help you integrate the feelings of loss into your life, learn how to manage distress and support you as you adapt to life without your loved one.
This 2-hour x 6 session course is designed to guide you as you heal and rebuild your life around the loss you have suffered.
Dates: Fridays 26 April & 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 May 2024
Times: 10:00- 12:00
Venue: Town Hall, Bushman’s River Mouth
Participants: Maximum 10 – Minimum 4
What to bring: A pen and note pad
Cost: R300 per person

Course Facilitator: Rowene Johnson
Rowene is a mental health activist and chairman of a NPO based in Johannesburg, The Bell House, supporting adults living with mental health disorders.
She is a member of the Mental Health Advisory Committee (MAC), a professional HR practitioner with the South African Board of People Practitioners (SABPP), a Life Coach registered with COMESA and an Auxiliary Social Worker (SACSSP).
Rowene lives in Bushman’s River and is a committed member of the Kenton & Bushman’s community and gives of her time freely to those in need. She is also Vice Chair of Child Welfare.
